The following crime occurred in:
On Campus

On 9/13/18, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a female Ohio State student was walking on campus on W. 12th Ave. when an unknown male pulled up in a vehicle and motioned that he needed assistance. When the student approached the vehicle, the suspect threatened harm unless she handed over her money. The student complied and he left eastbound on 12th Avenue toward N. High Street and the off-campus area. No weapons were shown and no injuries were reported.

The vehicle is described as a small, light-silver Ford SUV. Suspect details are limited.

The Ohio State University Police Division is actively investigating and anyone with information is encouraged to OSUPD at 614-292-2121.

We remind you to increase your overall safety by being cautious and looking out for one another; being aware of your surroundings and looking assertive; walking with a trusted friend or co-worker, when possible; if a situation makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, choose an alternative.
